SPEEDRILL is a specially formulated wetting agent used in water based drilling fluids to control the sticky tendencies of the clay.
APPLICATIONSPEEDRILL reduces the sticking tendency of reactive shale cuttings, wall packing, bit balling, booting-off and formulation of mud rings. SPEEDRILL find application in all drilling areas and can be used virtually in water based drilling fluid. SPEEDRILL is mainly used in top-hole sections to minimize bit and Bottom Hale Assembly (BHA) balling, to reduce the surface tension and to aid in dropping sands and the removal of drill solids. SPEEDRILL has a secondary lubrication effect and will reduce torque and drag, increasing bit life reducing wear.
TREATMENTSPEEDRILL can be added directly to the drilling fluid. It is very effective even at low concentrations and easy to mix with water. A concentration of 2-10 litres per cubic meter of mud is usually sufficient for satisfactory performance under normal conditions.
