Barite (Barium Sulfate) weighting material is a specially processed barite in powder form for use a drilling fluid as weighting additive. Barite increases the mud weight by without increasing the solid content. Barite meets the API Specification 13a, section 7 and EN ISO 13500.
Applications:
- Increase drilling fluid density with minimum solid content
- Control formation pressure
- Plugs the boreholes and cavities in formation
